Awesome insta-heals at range, and great ability to break stats and equipment too. Not the most fun or practical to obtain, but hard to argue with the deadly results.Ĭhemist/Knight is a great support character. There's no strategy, just a steamrolling to hand out. Onion Knight, fully equipped in onion gear. They won't be seeing combat so nothing else matters. Keep them in a back corner and have them rain constant minor damage, stat breaks, and debuffs on the opposition. Geomancer/Dancer is meant to avoid the frontlines.

Shirahadori and Concentrate will add some Ninja reflexes and precision to your unit. Equip for Movement first, then PA over Speed. Steal equipment, then kill the target by throwing it back at him. Ninja/Thief is a build geared towards humiliation. Short Charge and Critical Quick for quick support in a pinch. Heals and buffs out the ass, with Holy and Meteor if they need to rain destruction.

Equip Spear is a given, and Shirahadori is priceless. Equip for Speed first, then PA or HP at your discretion. Jump is based on Speed, so Ninja might seem more fitting with their superior multiplier, but Thief is more than adequate and I find stealing to be a superior backup skillset to throw when Jump dominates the damage output. Vehemence and Counter or First Strike are great for adding extra fun to your dominance, and Monk skills will add a great deal of utility and versatility to this otherwise implacable behemoth of death and nightmarish destruction. Minimize Faith and maximize Brave, then equip for PA first, HP second. Samurai doesn't need MP, but gets boosts from MA, making Black Mage superior to Summoner if you just want to use Iaido.ĭark Knight/Monk is good for cheesing. Literally identical in every other way from skills to equips. Equip for MA over MP or HP, and slap on Arcane Strength and Counter Magic to cement superiority and become as a god made flesh.īlack Mage again, this time subbing Samurai. Have him Berserk and Blind your enemies, break their equipment, and stick around to draw their attacks while your weaker units mop up.īlack Mage/Orator will mop the floor with anyone and with high chances of inflicting Death Sentence, Sleep, and Invitation, they'll also set other units up for laying a beat-down. Equip for MP and Magic Evasion, and stick Counter and Short Charge on. The presence of aMediator will frequently change the tide of a battle. You'll find a ton of stuff to try with a little looking around here. They can also carryguns, and therefore can contribute a potent offense as well. Mediators are vital if you wishto improve your Brave or Faith, or decrease values in the same. She can inspire allies, crush the hopes ofenemies, and even recruit the enemy to your side. Return to Ivalice A Knightblade's Guide to Characters
